The Golden Mosque
 
As a general rule, I love painting gold. It's that challenge of building that sheen and shine. Set against an azulean blue sky is mezmerising to me. The golden mosque is a wonderful building, full of traditional charm. That deep and heavy sun lends such lovely shadows to a painting. I love filling up my palette with all those orange, burnt umber tones.
